Kailyan nga ka timpuyogan,
Another year past and the coming celebration in our town of Sta. Cruz for the May Festival is coming in fast. This year we have a new additional attraction, a Motorshow, tricked out bikes. The “Riders Club” of Sta. Cruz are inviting all riders of the 2nd District to showcase their customized bikes. It will be loud and wakes up the sleeping soul of Sta. Cruz but it will also be a lot of fun.
Beside being an attraction it will also serve as an educational event. The “Riders Club” will have a Q&A time for the new riders, young or old. What the Riders Club are doing is to provide some basic knowledge on driving safeties. They will also go over the new rules and regulations of our Motor Vehicle Department known as LTO. Information that will help drivers be aware of what’s going on.
I couldn’t tell you how many fatalities could have been avoided if motorcyclists only follow some very simple safety rules like wearing a helmet.
Most of us are aware of how the XRM generation back home are changing the way of life in Sta. Cruz. For those who doesn’t know much about the XRM, it’s a small motorcycle, almost like a mofet, a Vespa or some other small two wheelers. XRM’s are made by Honda. There are other models made by other manufacturers but the XRM is one of the first of it’s kind and by far the most popular. It is widely used by kids and adults alike. Some of the riders doesn’t have any kind of formal training on how they should behave when they are on the highway. There had been so many fatal accidents.
Please help our youngsters be on the safe side of driving and let’s support an organization that helps implement good and caring behavior on the road.

The SANTA CRUZ ILOCOS SUR RIDERS CLUB, INC. is a non-government organization. They were registered at the Securities and exchange Commission (2006), deputized as volunteer traffic enforcers and member of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (2008) and also a member of the Association of Motorcycle Group in the 2nd District of Ilocos Sur (2009) whose aim is to involve its rank in the community service most particularly in times of emergencies and calamities…
Whereas the SANTA CRUZ ILOCOS SUR RIDERS CLUB, INC. is an organization that is capable of generating individual qualities, talents and views to form a well-rounded group and be able to render fundamental services to the people in order to create and an environment of peace and unity towards cooperation and success…
Whereas, our club is also involved in socio-civic activities for the improvement of the youth with regards to sports activities, school and municipal parade, motorcade, traffic assistance during vacations or holidays. We also extend our services during wedding and even funeral and we are the one assisting the traffic and these are free of charge except if they insist to give us for our fund.
Hence, we are preparing our group in this coming celebration of our May Festival and we are going to have MOTORSHOW FESTIVAL. The activity aims to show different kinds of motorcycle set up and public awareness towards safety driving. There will be a talk regarding Rules and Regulations and Fines based on the Land Transportation Office (LTO), and the display of different brands of motorcycles, parts and accessories and other gadgets of motorcycles. We are also expecting visitors and participants from La Union and Pangasinan.
However, the funds that will be raised after the event will be use for our group projects. We are planning to put two (2) mercury bulb at the public market area where accidents are rampant especially at night. We are also planning to buy radio base to access to the police station in the fastest way during emergency not only here at Sta. Cruz but also nearby towns. We are also planning to buy tent, first aid kit, and other things we need during rescue operation and motorist assistance.
In view thereof, we are asking you to please support this activity by assisting our financial needs and cooperate towards the success of our activity. We are hoping that this will surely be successful and productive.

to lipad, hindi po kami yung nagpunta sa bessang pass, ibang group po yon.
to pagoadan, sa mga natanggal na members ng riders.. dapat ipakita nyo sa mga tao na kahit natanggal kayo sa group ay may nagagawa kayong maganda at nakakacontribute na mabuiti sa community natin. sometimes we need to retreat in order to realize our mistakes para sa darating na panahon ay masabi nating may nagawa tayo na mabuti at hindi yung pagsisisi sa bandang huli….
so if that time comes, isa na ako sa mga taong matutuwa at magagalak kc naging instrumento kami sa pagbabago mo kaibigan…
